Ladies and Gentleman,
Over the next few months this team of highly dedicated, net savvy, hot-shot young lawyer wannabees will be sharing our experience of a summer at Cassels Brock & Blackwell, a major firm in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Our blog is student run, our updates do not require the approval of the firm (and as such, ahem “All thoughts, views, opinions and expressions are exclusively those of the individual authors and not Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP.” Lawyers, right?) and so what you will read is the honest to goodness truth of what we’re going through, thorns and all.
The hope in writing this is both that the reader can come to understand what life is like at a major Bay Street firm, and also that our parents can stop telling people that we’re all “pretty much partners.”

Fun Fact: Max’s favourite animal, the cuttlefish, is also his favourite food. Intelligent, enigmatic, and tastes great with curry!
Name: Clara “Biscotti” Lee
School: University of Windsor
Fun Fact: Owns a cat named Lord Denning.
Jessica “Moves like Jagger” Lee
School: Osgoode Hall Law School/Schulich School of Business
Year: 3rd year of the J.D./M.B.A. program
Fun Fact: Hiked the tallest mountain in Southeast Asia
Name: Justin “Mug Shot” Dick
School: Western Law
Fun Fact: Can dunk a basketball, but not like he used to.
